Hello. My name is Jim Sarafin and my home town is Buffalo, New York. It is where I was employed at a GM plant for over 18 years with the last 5 years in supervision. Following the plant closure in 1981 my wife and two daughters moved to Columbus, Ohio where I took a position in technical sales with the Ashland Chemical Company and subsequently moved to Lansing, Michigan in order to more effectively cover the State of Michigan. In 1986 we moved to Charlotte and I was the owner/operator of a printing business located in University Place. Upon selling the business in 2000 we moved to the Florida Gulf coast for a couple of years and returned in 2002. At this point in time I decided to enter the real estate profession and received my NC license in May of 2002. I've worked in the Charlotte area in general brokerage for a buyer agency, was affiliated with a major Charlotte company and also have experience in new custom home sales. My ABR Designation, which requires ongoing training, assures my buyer clients that their needs will be met in a professional manner.
